How often should my car be serviced?
At least once every 12 months or every 10,000 km, whichever comes first. Wet belt vehicles should generally be serviced every 7,500 km. We also consider manufacturer requirements, vehicle use and driving conditions.
What does a Speedwell service include?
An oil and filter service plus comprehensive mechanical and electrical checks covering brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, fluids, battery and visible leaks. We explain our findings before any additional work. Every serviced vehicle receives a wash and vacuum.
How long does a service take?
The service work normally takes about 1.5 hours, and we usually need the vehicle for around half a day so the checks can be completed properly. Extra diagnosis or repairs may require more time.
Why can a cheaper service cost less?
Lower-priced services may include only basic oil and filter replacement. Our service includes comprehensive mechanical and electrical checks intended to identify developing problems.
Do you service fleets and non-European vehicles?
Yes. We service most makes and models and look after retail customers, family vehicles and selected fleets. European vehicles are a specialist focus, not the only vehicles we service.
Can you collect my vehicle?
Free pick-up and return is available within 10 km in Hamilton city, subject to availability. Ask when booking.
